Representation and cooperation

You will be given concrete examples, practical tools and the chance to practise how to act in the pay-setting process. The e-course will give you what you need to represent your members, cooperate with your employer and help ensure an effective and transparent pay-setting process.

You will learn

  • Understand your role in the salary process as a union representative 
  • Recognise the different steps in the local pay-setting process 
  • Find and use your salary agreement to support negotiations 
  • Gather members’ opinions and keep them informed 
  • Explain and monitor salary criteria in practice 
  • Review the employer’s salary proposals and detect non-objective differences 
  • Support members in performance appraisals, pay reviews and notification of salary 
  • Follow up on and feed back results to members and Unionen
